Cherie Truesdell is a Georgia based photographer specializing in newborns and maternity. Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana Cherie relocated to Georgia over ten years ago to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. After marrying her soul mate and losing her dad to cancer, Cherie became more interested in celebrating life than working to extend it. She converted the front room of her home into a studio and began photographing maternity and newborns. Cherie's photographic style is vibrant and fanciful, rich with the use of bold, saturated colors. She strives to create an artistic image that best accentuates the natural beauty of the subject. Cherie is bubbly and vivacious and loves working with people, especially women and babies. Cherie lives with her husband, their beloved dog, and their two cats in Marietta, Georgia.

"We live in a fast-paced world of modern conveniences. Planes, smart phones, and computer based social networking are all a part of our daily lives, yet do we really feel any more connected? Do our lives feel any richer? When was the last time you just sat with your husband and held hands? When was the last time you laid in the backyard with your kids and counted the stars? There is a difference between living and living well. We will never have this moment again. Tomorrow you may give birth and no longer be pregnant. Tomorrow your baby won't be 10 days old. Tomorrow your daughter may be married and moving away to start her own family. Life passes so quickly. A couple of years ago I lost my dad. He was only 62 years old. We hadn't had a family portrait made in over a decade. We sure wish we would have. Fortunately, we did have a lot of wonderful photos from my wedding. My mother keeps her favorite one of my dad next to her bedside every night, even when she travels. It's now her most valued possession. Celebrating life is important. That's why I've chosen to be a photographer. I want to celebrate the small, precious, incredibly important, everyday moments of your life. I want to celebrate the hope in a pregnant belly, the peace of a sleeping baby, and the love in a family portrait. I hope you will chose to invite me into your lives to create beautiful images of your life which may one day be your most valued possessions."
